Based in La Canada, Good Maids was founded by Irma Mertens in 2002. Ms. Mertens began working in the housekeeping industry in 1996, and soon realized that the need for quality housekeepers and domestic help far out-paced the supply, and discovered how difficult it was to find quality, reliable employees. Good Maids was created to address that need.
